Capitalize – Ep4 – Kepha Partners

CapitalizeEpisode / | No Comments

kepha-partnersWe had a great event last night out in Waltham. The first time the Dart community has hit the road to the distant Route 128.

textuarantJosh Bob did a great job pitching his company Textaurant (twitter) to Eric Hjerpe of Kepha Partners.

If this is the first time you are stumbling across Capitalize we break the show up into two parts. The first hour is the pitch of Josh's company while the last 30 minutes is a live Q&A with Eric. Definitely check out both parts as there is a ton to learn!

A couple of major points that Eric touched on during the Q&A that may help you improve your pitch...

  • Find a way to get the partners to jump on your dream. VC's want that next $1 billion dollar company so paint that big vision.
  • Make sure your team slide is up front. If you're team slide is at the end of the presentation the VC is going to be sitting the entire time wondering how you are going to execute all of the things you are talking about.
  • Show that 'glimmer of greatness'. What is the executable play that you have and can you prove that you are able to execute it.

Watch the video below...

I have to give a huge thank you to Eric as he has been a big supporter of Dart and jumped on board with Capitalize before we did our first show. Now that you have seen Eric on Capitalize don't hesitate to go up and say hi to him at an event around town. He is one of the most supportive VC's I've met in Boston thus far!

As for the next show, we've had a slight hiccup with March, but we will definitely be doing an event next month so stay tuned for where we will be and when.
