Capitalize has been created to help break down the barriers between the capital community and young entrepreneurs in Boston. The goal of the series is to provide young entrepreneurs and students with the experience of what it's actually like to pitch a start-up to a VC or Angel.
There are plenty of lectures and panel discussions that attempt to explain how this process works and what companies need be prepared for, but we want to show what actually goes down in the boardroom.
One company from the Dart community, who thinks they're ready to raise capital, will have the opportunity to pitch. The VC's will provide their feedback and at the end, the audience have a chance to ask questions to the VC's about the pitch.
The event will take place on a Tuesday of every month, (for three months at least) and will be live to as many people as the VC firm's boardroom will hold. For those who can't get a ticket we will also live stream the event through the Capitalize website.
