Another great Capitalize event last night at SCVNGR. I want to thank everyone who made it out as well as all of those who watched online.

If you missed the event, Jim McNamee from HelloVino pitched Rich Miner and Luis Garcia from Google Ventures. Both Rich and Luis asked tough questions during the presentation and provided some fantastic feedback that is pertinent to anyone pitching a VC or Angel.

Another hot and humid month in Boston has passed which means Capitalize is fast approaching. We have a great event for everyone this month with Jim McNamee from HelloVino pitching Rich Miner from Google Ventures.

If you haven't heard of HelloVino yet, you should definitely check them out. Of course it would probably help if you have an iPhone as HelloVino is currently only running on the iPhone OS.

Hello Vino is a free wine pairing and suggestion guide that can be accessed via the Web and your mobile device. HelloVino assists the beginner wine consumer with recommendations for wine to pair with food, enjoy on its own, or give as a gift.

This month we are heading back to one of Google's portfolio companies, SCVNGR. We only have capacity for 100 so grab your ticket quick!!!

SCVNGR opened the doors to their new offices for Capitalize and we had one of our biggest audiences yet!

Before we get to the show we have to thank all the people that made it happen. Alison from Highland helped set up the event and made sure everyone had food to eat while MC and Edwin from SCVNGR made sure the presentation went off without a hitch.

This month we had Ben and Mike pitch their company Peekaboo to Highland Capital Partners' Alex Taussig and Matt Nichols. Check out the video below to see how they did!

We are nearing another Capitalize event for the month of July. This month we have Highland Capital leading the pitch and we'll be at SCVNGR, one of Highland's portfolio companies, for the event.

We have Ben and Mike back to pitch their mobile startup Peekaboo to Alex Taussig and Dan Rosen from Highland. If you didn't have a chance to check out Peekaboo watch their Pokin' Holes Pre Show.

In a nutshell Peakaboo has created an iPhone app (soon to have Android) that allows consumers to access and utilize coupons at nearby businesses based on the consumer’s GPS location. The app is launched and can be found in the app store just search for ‘Peekaboo Mobile’.

We had a great evening at Dogpatch Labs. Tons of people came out to see Tim pitch to Jon Lim of Polaris ventures.

We've got to thank Dave Barrett and Jon Lim of Polaris Ventures for hosting us. Lots of great insight was dropped about what VC's look for in a company, pitch, founder, etc.

Tim Noetzel pitched his company Pintley. If you haven’t heard of Pintley before, it’s the online community that helps you drink better beer. They offer personalized recommendations, a vast library of beers and tasting notes, a vibrant community, and a whole lot more, immersing yourself in the world of beer has never been easier.
